Match Day One and Two have been completed at the 2011 Owen Glen G Glenn Champions Trophy in Auckland, New Zealand. Match Day 2 was rained out on Sunday, so all games were played today to ensure the tournament stays on schedule.
For the G-Team, Simon Child has been in scintillating form and is proving already to be one of the star strikers at the tournament, whilst fellow New Zealanders Stephen Jenness and Matt L’Huillier are looking on point. World Champions Kiel Brown and Fergus Kavanagh along with Mark Paterson have been instrumental in Australia’s two wins which see’s them go top of Pool A, whilst James Tindall and Ken Forbes are showing good form for Great Britan.
Spanish defender Bosco Perez-Pla has been a rock at the back and Dutchman Wouter Jolie is looking dangerous in a more roving role for The Netherlands which see’s him launching counterattacks from deep defence.
