Olympic and World Cup Gold Medalist Grant Schubert has ruptured his Achilles Tendon playing for Western Australia Thundersticks in the 1st round of the Australian Hockey League last weekend.
In what is a major injury for the world class striker, Grant is expected to make a full recovery within 9-12 months. He successfully got through surgery a few days ago and is now on the road to recovery. The race is on for him to be fit for the 2012 London Olympics. Having been through many ups and downs over his stella career there is full faith in seeing him return successfully to the Australian line-up prior to the games.
All the team here at Gryphon wish him a quick and full recovery and look forward to see him in action for the green and gold again.
