It’s been barely over a week and I have just returned from playing in the Champions Trophy in Sydney…what an experience that was playing on home turf. Silver in the final against Argentina was great, but gold would have been so much better. Whilst it was a disappointing result, especially loosing on strokes, it was a fantastic experience to play in front of our own supporters. I felt so energized and full of life knowing that I had the whole crowd lifting and pushing us every bit of the way. Being a relatively new and inexperienced playing group, it was also good to be able to all go through such a memorable experience together, one that hopefully we will be able to talk about as a group in years to come.
It was especially good to have my parents there supporting me at every match, and it was great for them to be able to see me play for my country.
We are currently preparing for the Oceania World Cup Qualifiers in New Zealand which is in a couple of weeks.
